CORRUPTION : OAU SU Allegedly Budgeted N750k For Phone Calls



The corruption scandals rocking the Obafemi Awolowo University students union seems to just started, as the Union's President; Ibukun Oyekan, has been accused of budgeting about N750,000 for phone calls alone.

Recall, a brawl ensued between the students union Vice President; Tosin Jacob and the Social Director ; Emmanuel Adedayo, over the N3.8million Backlog of Fund recently released to the them few weeks ago. Also the same administration led was accused of buying a N900,000 bus for N2.5 million.

According to our sources, Oyekan Budgeted N2500 daily for phone calls alone for 300days, that aside the N530,000 he Budgeted for the maintenance and fueling of the N2.5million recently purchased vehicle.

Reacting to the accusations, Ibukun Oyekan, told LFBONLINE that he has no budget.

"I do not have any budget yet, when I have a budget, I will make it public for every student! But for now, I do not have budget yet. Anything you see online regarding the President's budget is totally a rumour to incite you! As President, when my budget is ready, I will make it public personally. I cannot give myself any budget. The Parliament will give me my budget and as of now, the Parliament has not given me any budget; so, I do not have any budget".
