.
Google is the only website that Nigerians visit more than Bet9ja.
According to influential Alexa monitoring tool,Bet9ja is the second visited site in Nigeria
What this means is that for every 5 Nigeria that are online, 4 are on Bet9ja’s website.....funny right?
For proper context, let me break it down. Bet9ja has more traffic than Facebook that is at number 5,Nairaland that is number 10, Vanguard that is 11 on the list, Punch Newspaper that is number 14 and then Linda Ikeji at number 21.
Let's go...
Just like opium addiction, we have a dangerous betting problem starring at us in the face....majorly youths
This addition is mainly driven by my generation of young people who are wasting their youths inside Bet9ja shops all over the country, waiting for the big break. This big break might never come because we can’t all be lucky to win it big.
As I speak, one young man somewhere in Nigeria just left Bet9ja shop without winning anything but he will still go back to the same shop tomorrow morning to continue from where he stopped......funny right?
More like an opium addiction which is not healthy....which only kills the pain temporarily
At the root of this addiction is unemployment....hmmm
Most young people are idle and looking for what to do, hence Bet9ja shops seem to be an escape from this harsh reality in Nigeria and the new opium.
should we be worried?
Things can’t continue this way before this unemployment crises implode on our face.
This is one of the reasons Buhari has to go and be voted out in 2019, he does not understand the unemployment crises at hand neither does he have a clue.We envisage a youth president come 2019.
In fact he has done more in making the unemployment crises worse because more young people have lost their jobs in his government than any other government in the history of this country but the old man is not bothered.
My little niece Ada Ofoche who is in the University understand these things and even our economy and how it works more than the nepotistic old man and I’m being sincere here.
We need a new president who understands the urgency of now and who will be able to mobilize all hands on deck to create more jobs for our teeming young people.
Is a young/Youth president visible come 2019?
This is the only way this frightening betting addiction can be curtailed.
Betting is not a bad thing but it becomes frightening when it becomes the only empowerment tool out of poverty young people in Nigeria can relate to, hence that traffic.
Is betting a bad thing?
