Frank Ocean Wins $14.5m Libel Lawsuit Filed Against Him By His Dad

Calvin Cooksey, earlier in 2017 filed suit against Frank Ocean for a 2016 Tumblr post in which Ocean said he allegedly heard his father call a transgender waitress "f*ggot" when he was a child.

Cooksey had claimed the post ruined his future "financial opportunities," but Ocean's attorney confirmed that his client had defeated the suit. "It was a super sad case," Keith Bremer, Ocean's attorney, said. 

His dad lost the $14.5 million libel suit because he had "failed to prove his son had defamed him at all.
