The Obafemi Awolowo University students union president Ibukun Oyekan has been impeached.
Impeachment of Ibukun Oyekan, is not far from the allegation, levelled against him in September, LFBONLINE learnt.
According to a member of the students union representative council, who craved for anonymity, the President was impeached for using the Students Union Bus to convene cultists to campus on the 1st of November.
"An act, which the SRC said posed threat to the peace of the University community".
The motion for Oyekan's impeachment took place at the Awolowo Cafe, where 51 parliamentarians favored the impeachment motion and announced the Union Speaker; Temitope Falayi, as the acting president.
Recalled the Vice-President; Tosin Jacob, who was next to be the acting president, was suspended few month ago alongside social director; Emmanuel Adedayo, for involving in fisticuffs.
Meanwhile, Ibukun Oyekan, has tagged his impeachment as that of a 'kangaroo', saying it was not carried out constitutionally.
