The acting chairman Yola North Local Government, Hon. George Raphael has appointed 110 special assistants on N5000 monthly allowance.
According Youths Digest - all the appointees have been issued their letter of appointment.
A letter to one of the appointees states that all aides should resume duty from January 2, 2018 on the payment of five thousand Naira monthly which is below the 18,000 minimun wage rate.
The letter sighted by Youths Digest and signed by the Local Government chairman himself states;
'I'm pleased to inform you that you are hereby offered appointment as the Special Assistant (SA) to the Ag. Chairman Yola North Local Government with effect from 2nd January, 2018.
'Your nomination came as a result of your dedication and commitment to our great party all progressive congress (APC) and Yola North Community.
'I approve the sum of five thousand Naira (N5,000) as your monthly allowance.
'You are therefore expected to reciprocate this kind gesture by putting more efforts towards the upliftment of the local government council and party activities.
'Your appointment may be terminated at anytime by the acting chairman if found wanting.
'Please accept my congratulations and best wishes.'
