A Nigerian Professor - Lukmon Oyedele has been appointed the new Vice Chancellor of the University of West England.
Oyedele, an alumnus of the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University and specifically the former public relations Officer of the MSSN of the institution got named the UWE Vice Chancellor after critical analysis of his academic profile.
The appointment of Oyedele gained traction on Friday, after the Chief Imam of the Obafemi Awolowo University ILE-IFE, announced the good news at the Jumah service.
Prior to his appointment, Oyedele was ; the Director of Bristol Enterprise, Research and Innovation Centre (BERIC) at the University of West of England Bristol, United Kingdom, the Head of Division of Project Management and Sustainability Division at Queen's University Belfast – QUB. At Queen's University, he was also the founding Head of Department of Construction and Project Management where, he established both postgraduate masters and PhD programmes in Project Management and led the professional accreditation of the programmes in the United Kingdom.
Professor Oyedele has written more than 120 papers and has supervised at least 8 PhD and about 75 master's students.
