Police IG, other Police officers storm Dubai For 87th Interpol General Assembly

The Inspector General of Police, Mr Ibrahim Idris, Sunday led delegations of senior Police officers to Dubai.

In statement disclosed by the forces public relations officer, DCP Jimoh Moshood, the officers are to attend the 87th INTERPOL General Assembly to synergise with other Police Chiefs across the world and improve the capacity of the Force.

The 87th INTERPOL General Assembly 2018 was declared opened today, Sunday 18th November, 2018 in Dubai, UAE, by His Highness, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Ruler of the Emirate of Dubai.

This Interpol General Assembly according to Jimoh would bring Police Chiefs, officials of public security departments and global experts together to discuss important safety and security issues worldwide with particular attention to fight against terrorism and other organized crimes. Participants will dialogue on best practices to enhance further cooperation to make the world safer.
